8/7/00:A message from
Colin:
Hello People, Welcome to the Cullen to
Cape Town Express!
Departure is set for the the end of
June to Early July, paperwork and vehicle modifications permitting. With an
estimated E.T.A. in Cape town approx 12 months later.
I would like to take this opportunity
to thank all the people who have lent a hand, or pointed me in the right
direction so far :- Richard & Jo Hepper for giving me custody of Maggie,
(The Land Rover) and for all the help and advice Richard has found the time
to supply me with.
Len Sara, Bob Doe and John Best for
getting there hands on some very useful Equipment for me. (Oh yes, thanks
Bob & John for your time in taking me backwards and forwards to
Harrogate to look at Maggie).
Graham Cass for the excellent artwork
you will see on the site.
Tony Cole for looking after the
letting of my house for me. Anyone I've fogotten to mention
"Tough!" no seriously thanks to everyone who has helped in
anyway.

Latest news: 8/7/00 - I heard from
Colin on Saturday evening.
He mentioned that all is going well. The Land Rover has had a few minor
problems: Front wheel bearings needed looking into and the transfer case
seemed to be grinding a bit.
